Christines New Hire Announcement

Slarskey LLC is pleased to announce that Partner Christine M. Rodriguez will join the firm. Rodriguez, who is joining from Kasowitz Benson Torres, will bring her enterprise resource planning (ERP) software litigation experience to Slarskey LLC while enhancing its broader commercial litigation capabilities.

Christine Rodriguez has nearly 15 years of experience in commercial litigation, having started her career as a law clerk in Manhattan’s Commercial Division of the NY State Supreme Court before entering private practice, where she has led representations of both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes commercial matters in jurisdictions across the country. Her expertise spans a wide range of business disputes, including breach of contract, fraud, and other business torts for clients in the real estate, finance, art, and energy sectors, as well as manufacturers of consumer products and industrial materials whose businesses rely on complex global supply chains.

"I'm thrilled to join Slarskey LLC and contribute to its innovative approach to litigation," said Ms. Rodriguez. "The firm's entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to client-focused strategies aligns perfectly with my vision for continuing to represent and advise clients in software litigation disputes while also growing my broader complex commercial litigation practice."

David Slarskey, founder of Slarskey LLC, commented, "Christine's addition to our team exemplifies our commitment to strategic growth and specialized expertise. Her extensive experience in high-profile cases complements our existing practice areas and reinforces our ability to tackle complex, high-stakes cases for our clients. We are eager to support her practice, and pleased to attract yet another high quality partner and individual from the New York legal community.”

Ms. Rodriguez’s notable representations include The Lubrizol Corporation, a global specialty chemicals company, in an action against IBM arising from an implementation of SAP S/4 HANA; National Grid in an action stemming from a $1 billion implementation of SAP software; Alaskan Reefer Management and Kloosterboer International Forwarding, shippers of Alaskan seafood, in a dispute related to penalties assessed by the U.S. government for alleged violations of the Jones Act; and The Manhattan Club and affiliated entities in an action brought by more than 200 individual timeshare interest holders.

Recognized as a "Latino Lawyer to Keep on the Watch" by Latino Leaders Magazine in 2020, Ms. Rodriguez is committed to mentoring Latino and other historically underrepresented students at her alma mater, Brooklyn Law School. She is frequently called upon as a panelist for legal conferences, most recently at the 2024 Women Influence & Power in Law Conference, where she moderated a panel about “Becoming the Super Communicator: Building Lasting Connections & Increasing Your Influence,” and at the most recent Driving Diversity in Law & Leadership NYC Summit, where she was discussed the topic of “Redefining Success: From Burnout to Balance in a Multigenerational Workforce.”

The announcement of Rodriguez’s hire comes as Slarskey LLC celebrates its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of substantial wins and organic growth in the New York legal market. The firm now includes 16 lawyers and business professionals, and has recently expanded its team with three new associates: Nicole Santoro, Luc Pierre-Louis, and Anthony LoMonaco.

"Our growth has always been deliberate and client-driven," said Partner Renee Bea. "Christine's addition exemplifies this approach. Her unique software litigation expertise and broad commercial litigation experience directly responds to our clients' evolving needs, and we know she will deliver the bespoke, high-quality service that defines our firm."
