Luc C. Pierre-Louis maintains a broad commercial litigation practice representing multinational companies, technology-driven businesses, investment funds, founders, and other sophisticated clients in complex disputes involving corporate governance, investment fraud, trade secrets, regulatory and government action, and distressed businesses. A seasoned courtroom advocate, Luc has tried federal jury cases, including serving as co-lead counsel in a four-day trial in the Southern District of New York that resulted in a complete defense verdict. His practice spans federal and state courts, arbitration, and related appeals, with a focus on high-stakes disputes involving cross-border transactions, sensitive commercial information, and significant business risk.

At Slarskey LLC, Luc represents clients in major commercial and investor disputes in the United States and abroad. He was part of the trial team representing Kaktovik Inupiat Corporation in litigation arising from a significant commercial venture, helping secure early trial victories that contributed to a confidential settlement before verdict. He has also successfully defended companies against putative class actions, including obtaining dismissal of class claims against a prominent real estate investment trust.

Luc regularly handles disputes involving investment fraud, fiduciary duties, ownership and capitalization, corporate control, and contractual rights. He also represents companies in trade secret and employee-mobility matters involving confidential information, competitive activity, computer access, restrictive covenants, and complex electronic discovery. His practice further includes regulatory and government litigation, including representing a leading beverage manufacturer in successfully defeating an application for emergency injunctive relief arising from a regulatory dispute.

Luc also maintains an active pro bono practice. In a recent matter, he helped secure a temporary restraining order against the federal government, ultimately leading to a favorable settlement for the client. He has also represented amici community advocacy organizations in support of impact litigation before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Luc also contributes to legal thought leadership, including co-authoring an article on investor disputes published in the New York Law Journal.

Earlier in his career, Luc served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Special Federal Litigation Division of the New York City Law Department, where he defended the City and its employees in federal litigation and was named “Legal Rookie of the Year” during his first year of practice.

Luc also served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Joseph A. Marutollo of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

He graduated from The George Washington University Law School with a concentration in International and Comparative Law and received Pro Bono Honors. He is fluent in French and Haitian Creole.
