Deepa Devanathan represents clients in commercial litigation, internal investigations, and regulatory proceedings. She has experience across a range of disputes, including securities, antitrust, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and employment matters, and has represented both individuals and corporations in state and federal courts as well as in government-facing investigations.

Prior to joining Slarskey LLC, Ms. Devanathan practiced at Petrillo Klein + Boxer LLP and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where she represented clients in criminal, regulatory, and civil matters. She also clerked for the Honorable Taryn A. Merkl of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and externed for the Honorable Raymond J. Lohier of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Ms. Devanathan earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she served as Vice President of the Trial Advocacy Team and a Staff Editor of the Moot Court Board. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was President of the Mock Trial team.

Ms. Devanathan is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, and U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She was awarded the 2024 Pro Bono Publico Award for outstanding service to The Legal Aid Society and its clients.
