Anthony LoMonaco & Brooklyn Hollander Honored for Pro Bono Contributions

October 23, 2026

On Tuesday, October 20, Associate Anthony LoMonaco and Paralegal Brooklyn Hollander were honored for their pro bono contributions at an award ceremony jointly held by the New York County Lawyers Association, New York State Bar Association, and New York State Unified Court System's Office for Justice Initiatives.

Anthony was recognized for his work on the State Central Registry (SCR) Project, representing a domestic violence survivor and foster mother in her petition to amend and seal an indicated report entered against her in the SCR. Through a series of administrative hearings, Anthony prepared the client’s testimony, submitted supporting evidence, and secured an order amending her indicated status to unfounded and sealing the report.

Brooklyn was recognized for her work on NYCLA's Reentry Initiative, Certificates Project, through which she assisted formerly incarcerated individuals in applying for Certificates of Relief from Disabilities and Certificates of Good Conduct that can expand their employment opportunities. Brooklyn's work involved evaluating eligibility, conducting intake interviews, determining supporting evidence, and preparing and submitted applications. Most notably, she led NYCLA's first endeavor to submit an application to seal a criminal record on behalf of a client.

Congratulations, Anthony & Brooklyn!
